What is Google AdSense

What is Google AdSense

Google AdSense is a service that allows webmasters to display advertisements on their sites. Google serves advertisements and pays webmasters when a visitor to their site clicks on an ad.
Google Adsense is an ad network, which means it offers advertisers the opportunity to place ads on other sites in its network.
When someone visits one of these partner sites and clicks on one of these ads, the advertiser pays Google for this click. Google then pays a portion of that money to the webmaster who placed the ad.

Impressions
It pays you money according to the number of times your ads are viewed every day. You can assume that it gives $1 for every 1000 views.

clicks
It depends on how many clicks your ads get.

Once your account is approved in Adsense, you can give the look to the ads as per your choice and can also decide where it will appear on your blog. When visitors come to your blog and see ads and click on them, your earnings will increase. Once it reaches $100, you can transfer it through check or directly to your bank account.
Not just on blogs or websites, it also works on YouTube. People mostly like watching videos rather than reading anything, and perhaps that is why YouTube is the 3rd best website in the world. You must have noticed that while watching a video on YouTube, you see some ads, these are nothing but ads of Google AdSense.

If your blog is not getting visitors then there is no benefit in placing AdSense ads. It is not that AdSense does not approve if there are less visitors, this is such an advertise network which you can get approved for any number of daily visitors. That is why it is very popular in the blogging world.

How does Google AdSense work

Those who place ads on their sites are called publishers and those whose ads we see are called advertisers. Suppose Airtel ads are showing in your blog, it means it is an advertiser.
If you want to show ads of any company on your site, then it is not possible that you can talk directly with that company. In such a situation, how many companies will you talk to? That’s why Google started a product called AdWords.
Through this, big companies or anyone who wants to promote their product or company in the world can register through it and add their ads.
Every company or product has keywords. Keywords are what people use to search on Google. If there is a keyword of any product on your website, then ads related to that keyword will appear on your website.

When Google’s robots visit your blog and detect a keyword in your website, they match it with AdWords and show ads for its products.

If you have written about smartphone in your blog then advertisement related to smartphone will appear in your blog. All these ads are from those companies which have included relevant keywords in their products in Google AdWords. And whenever we use their keywords in our post, we see their ads.
And one is interest-based advertising. When you visit any e-commerce or product website, all the history and data gets saved in your browser.

When you then visit a blog or website which has AdSense ads, it accesses the data of your browser and shows ads according to your last visited page.

Conclusion

AdSense assumes that you are interested in it, so it shows you ads related to it. Suppose you just visited Flipkart’s website and were searching for a mobile, then your next AdSense Ads will be Flipkart or mobile related only.
